Marine Application Engineer

The main requirements in this role are:

• Minimum 2 years of similar experience or Service Engineer experience in Marine industry,
• Strong technical background with University Engineering degree,
• Basic 2D and 3D CAD experience is an asset,
• Excellent communication skills with strong customer focus,
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively with the customers and colleague in the Sweden office,
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written,
• Good in MS Office applications and other software,
• Ability to Travel ( Domestic and International),
• No military obligation.

The main responsibilities of the position are ;

• Providing technical support for OEM’s and  boat builders. Interfacing with OEM boat builders to integrate Volvo Penta propulsion products into new OEM boats,
• Commissioning of all sold products, marine and industrial engines and accessories,
• Working  with engineering and application department personnel to solve product related issues and provide feedback on issues in the field,
• Conducting sea trials of new/current model boats to verify correct product application and installation,
• Supporting for sales people and dealers in all related subjects, spent 80 % of his time in the field,
• Checking and approving all installations then preparing all related documents to submit boat builders and OEM’s,
• Giving technical advice to boat builders, OEM’s and sales people,
• Attending and participating in OEM Dealer Sales Meetings, boat shows, and other events as needed.
